The short version
Your images are converted inside your own browser. ImageConvert does not upload them, receive them, or store them. The website itself still uses a few third-party services, such as hosting and page analytics, and advertising when it is switched on. This page explains exactly what they do.
Your images
- Files you add are read by your browser and processed on your device, using built-in browser features and WebAssembly code that is served from this site.
- Image contents, file names and metadata are not sent to our servers or to any third party.
- Previews and downloads use temporary in-memory links that are released when you remove a file, clear the list or leave the page.
- Nothing is saved between visits. Closing the tab discards everything.
You can verify this yourself: open your browser's developer tools, watch the Network tab while you convert, and you will see that no image data is sent.
What the website does collect
Hosting
The site is hosted on Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel processes technical request data such as IP address and user agent to deliver pages and protect against abuse. See Vercel's privacy policy for details.
Web Analytics and Speed Insights
We use Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to understand which pages are visited and how fast they load. These provide aggregated information such as page views, referrers, country, device and browser type, and performance measurements. Vercel states that Web Analytics does not use cookies for this purpose.
When enabled on our plan, we also record anonymous usage events such as "conversion completed" together with the input and output format names (for example, HEIC and JPG) and whether a batch was used. File names, file contents, sizes, hashes and previews are never included.
Advertising
This site shows ads served by Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technologies to deliver and measure ads. Ads are requested as non-personalized by default. Visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are shown a consent message from a Google-certified consent management platform before personalized ads or ad cookies are used.
You can review or change your choice through the "Ad choices" link in the footer, manage Google ad settings at adssettings.google.com, and read how Google uses information from sites that use its services. Ads are never placed inside the converter, and your images are never shared with advertisers.
Cookies and local storage
The converter itself does not set cookies and does not store your files or settings in your browser. Third-party services listed above may set their own identifiers as described in their policies.
Your rights and contact
Depending on where you live, you may have rights over personal data that is processed about you, such as access, correction or deletion. Because we do not receive your images and do not run our own user database, there is little personal data under our control; requests about data held by Vercel or Google need to go to them as well. See the contact page.
Children
The service is a general-purpose tool and is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy when the site changes. The date at the top shows the latest revision.
